Jeff started his basketball career at Dawson-Boyd High School in Minnesota. In 1991 Nordgaard became the first player in Minnesota state history to achieve a quadruple double. In college at U.W.-Green Bay, he accomplished many milestones; one of the largest was when his team qualified for the Final Four in Division 1 of the NCAA basketball tournament.

Jeff went on to play professional basketball from 1996 - 2009, he was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the 1996 NBA Draft. He started his professional career playing in Europe, the following season he began with the Bucks and finished the season with the CBA’s Fort Wayne Fury. In the years to follow he played again with teams in Europe, France, Greece and Poland.

When Jeff’s professional career ended, we here at Holy Cross were blessed to have him come back and participate in our Holy Cross Men’s Open. In Jeff’s senior year at U.W.G.B. he played for the first time in our Tournament and was voted the “Most Popular Player”. Jeff came back on the final Sunday night to accept his award and “hang out” with the many students that were in attendance that evening. The past few years we have come to know Jeff and his family. He now resides in De Pere, WI and is a Team Sales Representative for LIDS Team Sports. Jeff is dedicated to his immediate family as well as his extended family. He has great joy in having his Brother-in-law Kon Knueppel as a teammate and the opportunity to perform on the court in front of his family as well as in front of his sister and nephews who follow and attend his games. Its always a great time when his family and friends join him at our event; he continues to make a positive impression by his play and actions on and off the court. His sister Chari Nordgaard Knueppel stated “Jeff has always been my basketball role model and I’ve always been his biggest fan. The fact that he is able to compete at this high level for so many years is remarkable. It brings our family great joy to be able to continue cheering for him even after his college and professional careers”.

We can only hope that Jeff continues to participate with all the enthusiasm and fun he displays every time he take to the court.
